While working at Mary Kay as an Associate Insurance Risk Analyst in 2015,
I got the opportunity to work with software engineers, graphic
designers, and project managers to create a landing page for our
beauty consultants participating in our Career Car Rewards
Program. This landing page provided access for the beauty
consultants to download and print auto ID insurance cards as
needed. For the first time since working in the Insurance
industry, I felt fulfilled in my career. My interest in
technology has increased every year since that project.
Mid-way through 2020, I decided it was time for me to begin my
coding journey. To date, I have completed three SheCodes coding workshops where I learned how to build static and responsive websites using the latest versions of HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript. I also learned how to apply the use of an API, commit changes to my website with Github, and host my websites on Netlify.
